January Update
Brrrr...
Ahoy-hoy
Fair to say we’re experiencing somewhat of a cold snap. For Milly who, for reasons I will go into in a moment, has taken to spending as much time under the duvet, even a sheets-change day is no reason to miss out.
The reason for her duventhusiasm is that our latest attempt to sort out her sore belly is vests. If she can’t get to it, she can’t aggravate it. We’re hoping that giving the fur chance to properly grow back will stop it being itchy1. So far as the vests go, she’s not a fan…
The working theory is that the vest, while it might be imagined to provide an extra layer, is actually restricting her ability to fluff up her fur for warmth. Whatever the reason, she is spending a super amount of time burrowing under things. Her belly is much better, though, and we are giving her time out of it when we’re able to properly supervise her and make sure she’s not going at herself too vigorously.
The upside, of course, is the opportunity to experience extreme cuteness like this…

In other news, S’s habit of feeding them (appropriate) titbits from her plate has had a snowball effect on their expectations.
One benefit of me being the faster eater is that now I’m free to run interference and hold them back while S finishes hers. There’s a fair amount of hopping down onto the stool they use as a step up onto the couch to avoid my hands, before hopping back up to try and get to her plate. Rascals.
Anyhoo, that’s about all from us. Until next time, blind cat fans!

We did discuss this as a potential solution with the vet prior to trying it. We’re not winging it.

My two sit and watch whenever I eat, just in case anything drops, they are neat freaks when it comes to me making mess
