March Update
Trigger warning: May contain stories of poop.
Hurrah for the first signs of Spring!
Needless to say the return of the sun is good news for all of us, the girls included. Indoor cats they may be, but they love nothing more than a sun-warmed square of floor to flop onto.
Other things they love, of course, include boxes…

… even if they are too small to get in properly. Much hilarity every time Milly stretches in her new box and tips the whole thing up so she rolls out onto the floor.
And they appear to approve of the new nook afforded by the removal of our fireplace.
They also love the cat bed by the radiator in the dining room…

… even if they occasionally have to share it.
All of this adorable cuteness just about makes up for days like yesterday, where we had a seemingly endless series of incidents in the ‘long haired cats and tricky toilets’ category; exacerbated by their blindness, meaning they know something’s wrong but can’t see to deal with it. The kind of incidents that see their reluctant owners teaming up to get down on the floor, pin the cat down and clean/remove items as required. Which you would think the cats would appreciate needed doing, yet somehow they take as an affront and are determined to wriggle/fight/claw their way out of.
Three. Three such incidents. In one day. With a side helping of sick right before bedtime.
It’s a good job they’re so cute.
Until next time, cat fans.
JK

Another cat in a box thing I love: when they stretch in the box and the box rips and falls apart. Bye bye, box! Hello, cardboard pancake!
